I ‘m so thankful that you found me. Since lugging home too many Thornton Burgess tales from the library, I can still be seen in a chair, lights glowing, fragrant candles waving, and strong coffee somewhere. And of course, I’m reading.
I’m married to Alan–for three decades now! We have three kids all grown and doing life well. I have always loved to read picture books aloud to children and now to the young people who populate my Middle School ELA classes.
Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me,
in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
—II Timothy 1:13
The sound words of my life have come in waves. Many of the waves are marked in the catalogs of my reading life:
The Awakening, The Grapes of Wrath, A Girl Named Zippy, or Educated, and of course, the book of Esther just to name a few influential passages.

It’s so perfect that you are here.
Take care and return soon,
